- To make ragi sheera, heat 4 tbsp ghee in a broad non-stick pan.
- Add ½ cup ragi (nachni / red millet) flour.
- Sauté on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add 5 tbspjaggery powder (gur powder).
- Mix well using a whisk.
- Add 1 cup milk.
- Cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring continuously.
- Switch off the flame, add ¼ tsp cardamom powder.
- Mix well.
- Serve ragi sheera immediately.

Yes, ragi halwa is a wonderful dish. I like its taste and its better than suji halwa in terms of nutritional value and taste.

sheera with a health touch...nice thinking...i tried it and it tasted fab..but need to be enjoyed hot.
