Today is #Pride Day. Celebrated each year on June 28, it marks the date in history when the first Pride march was held in New York City in 1970, one year after the pivotal Stonewall Riots. Pride has evolved into a monthlong celebration across the world, and here at DWT, supporting our LGBTQ+ co-workers, friends, families, and allies is a crucial part of our DEI mission. The Seattle office hosted a rooftop Pride party earlier this month – see this message from new summer associate Elyse Sparks.

Last week, DWT partners Wendy Kearns, Brandon H. Johnson, and Jeremy Merkelson led a panel on neurodiversity at the MCCA (Minority Corporate Counsel Association) G-TEC Conference, held at Google in Sunnyvale, CA. The discussion delved into the fascinating intersection of neuroscience and technology, exploring how neurotechnology could shape the workplaces of tomorrow and the steps we can take today to consider and prepare for its uses.
