WHAT IS ANGOLA?

Umbundu, Kikongo and Kimbundu are all Bantu languages, that should have you looking in Africa for the correct response. Portugal’s former colonies in Africa include Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Sao Tome and Principe, and Guinea-Bissau. Portuguese is the official language in all of them. Other languages are recognized as national languages. Two of the Bantu languages in the clue (Umbundu and Kimbundu) are spoken in Angola. The other one (Kikongo) is spoken in Angola, Gabon and the 2 Congo nations. Wikipedia has a list of 42 other languages that are spoken in Angola.

“The Portuguese Language and What Makes it Intriguing” is an 8-minute YouTube video with a history of the language. All Portuguese-speaking countries are shown, with many other interesting tidbits.

Ellen had no response. She lost her $70 bet and finished with $1,930.

Chris went with Cape Verde. That cost him $2,000 and left him with $4,800.

Amar got it right. He bet $1,000 and won the game with $16,600. Amar Kakirde is the new Jeopardy! champ.

Reversal: IT’S ALREADY IN THE FORM OF A QUESTION! ($2000) In Matthew 27 in the King James version, Jesus cries out, “My God, my God”, then this anguished question – Ken accepted “Why have you forsaken me?” which would have been okay in some Bible versions, but in KJV, it’s “Why has thou forsaken me?” Chris lost $4K. Bummer!
